We are looking for an
AI Applications Engineer/ AI Software Engineer
to help transform how our CFO organization operates through AI, automation, and data.
You will
design, build, and scale the Finance Intelligence Ecosystem
that powers decision-making across
Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, Procurement, Tax, Investor Relations, and Internal Controls
. Working closely with Finance leadership, you'll create trusted data foundations, AI-powered applications, and intelligent automation that improve how the organization operates and makes decisions.
This is a hands-on engineering role with direct visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to build foundational systems that will support OPSWAT's long-term growth and public-company readiness.
Key Responsibilities & Impact
1. Build the Finance Intelligence Ecosystem

Design and own the data, reporting, and AI platform that serves the CFO organization.

Create trusted, governed datasets that connect finance and operational systems into a single source of truth.

Deliver scalable infrastructure that supports reporting, analytics, automation, and future AI initiatives.
2. Deliver AI-Powered Decision Support

Build dashboards, reporting solutions, and AI-enabled applications that provide actionable business insights.

Implement capabilities such as natural language querying, anomaly detection, variance analysis, and forecasting support.

Increase the speed, quality, and accessibility of financial decision-making across the organization.
3. Integrate Enterprise Systems & Automate Workflows

Build and maintain integrations across ERP, procurement, expense, CRM, and other business systems.

Develop automated data pipelines that keep reporting and AI applications continuously refreshed.

Identify and automate high-impact finance processes, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
4. Establish Governance, Trust & Scalability

Implement data quality standards, validation frameworks, access controls, and monitoring processes.
-
Ensure solutions are secure, auditable, and designed to support future compliance and public-company requirements.

Build systems that stakeholders trust and rely on as part of their daily workflows.
What We're Looking For
Required
-
3 - 8 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or AI/ML Engineering, and
have shipped production AI systems, not prototypes.

Strong Python development skills
and experience building production-grade applications.

Experience designing data pipelines, integrations, and scalable data models.

Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI application development.

Experience building internal applications, analytics solutions, or data products with appropriate governance and access controls.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
Nice to Have

Experience building AI-powered solutions on structured enterprise or financial data, including agentic workflows, LLM integrations with business systems, RAG architectures, natural-language analytics, anomaly detection, or automated insight generation.

Experience with finance, ERP, accounting, or enterprise operational systems.

Experience with NetSuite, Tipalti, Navan, Carta, SugarCRM, DealHub, HubSpot, or similar platforms.

Knowledge of semantic layers, data governance, lineage, data contracts, and access management.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or modern analytics platforms.

Background in cybersecurity, compliance-driven, or highly regulated industries.

Demonstrated ability to independently prototype, build, and deploy internal tools, automations, dashboards, or AI applications in lean, fast-moving environments.
