AI Automation Engineer (n8n)

About the Project

We are working on a new generation of AI-powered web applications that combine workflow automation, AI agents, and data-driven experiences.

The platform is designed around a reusable application structure: users interact with an intelligent chat-based interface, while the system can retrieve and process company data, trigger workflows, and work with specialized AI agents or functions in the background.

We are looking for an engineer who can help us build, integrate, and improve automation workflows, while also being comfortable exploring AI-agent and backend solutions beyond n8n.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows for business automation.
• Integrate n8n with APIs, webhooks, databases, messaging platforms, and other third-party services.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows involving AI/LLM services.
• Evaluate when a problem is best solved with n8n and when custom code or backend services would be more appropriate.
• Support the development of AI-powered web applications and agentic workflows.
• Work with Supabase/PostgreSQL and other data sources to connect applications with business data.
• Contribute to the design of agent orchestration, tools, sub-agents, and AI-powered functions.
• Help develop reusable technical components and application patterns that can be adapted across different products and use cases.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve workflow reliability and performance.
• Work collaboratively through GitHub, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Work closely with the technical lead to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Explore and adopt AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining n8n workflows.
• Good understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, data transformation, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or another backend programming language.
• Understanding of databases and SQL; experience with PostgreSQL or Supabase is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs or AI-powered workflows.
• Good understanding of backend and web application architecture.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub-based development workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and propose practical solutions.
• Comfortable working with evolving requirements and taking ownership of technical tasks.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
