Job description

Scandinavian Software Park is the Hanoi-based tech hub and home to several of Scandinavia’s market-leading B2B SaaS companies. Founded and operated by Monterro, the leading B2B software investor in the Nordics, Scandinavian Software Park enables portfolio companies to accelerate growth and build high-end engineering and product capabilities in Vietnam. This role sits within our product services, aiming to deliver expert-level services directly to Monterro’s portfolio of 30+ B2B software companies. 

 

We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Software Engineer (AI-First) to join our Product Services team. In this role, you will be at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence – designing, building, and optimizing intelligent systems that directly impact our products and customers. 

 

As an AI-First Engineer, you are expected to not only write clean, maintainable code but to actively integrate AI tools and techniques into your daily workflow, using them to accelerate development, improve code quality, and deliver smarter solutions. 

Your skills and experience

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain scalable, production-grade software using OOP languages and frameworks. Strong experience in at least one backend ecosystem, such as C#/.NET, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, or PHP. 
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities (e.g., LLMs, intelligent automation, AI-assisted features) into product workflows and internal tools. 
  • Use AI coding assitants (E.g: Github Copilot, Cursor, Claude,…) to accelerate delivery and maintain high code quality.  
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. 
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning sessions. 
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI-first thinking to solve engineering challenges more effectively and efficiently. 
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and security through best practices in testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Experiment with relevant AI technologies and share practical findings, patterns, and limitations with the wider engineering team. 
  • Evaluate and improve AI features for quality, reliability, security, latency, and cost before and after release.
     

What we are looking for

Requirements:

Technical skills: 

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience. 
  • Strong, proven experience with OOP languages and frameworks (C#, .NET, Java, Node.js, and related technologies).  
  • Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, RESTful APIs, software architecture and integration patterns. 
  • Hands-on experience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent). 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Hands-on experience building AI-first applications: integrating LLMs, building agentic workflows, or designing AI-native architecture – not just wrapping an API call. 
  • Able to work independently, communicate trade-offs, and take ownership of solutions from discovery through production operation. 

Communication 

  • Fluent, professional English – written and spoken. 
  • Able to articulate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Comfortable collaborating with an international, remote-first team culture.
     

Nice to Have 

  • Knowledge of MLOps concepts or AI/ML pipeline tooling. 
  • Background in Agile/Scrum development environments.
