betarchitect is a cutting-edge iGaming platform designed for operators committed to building and owning their unique gaming experiences. Our platform offers White Label and Turnkey Casino & Sportsbook infrastructure with event-driven, microservice architecture for scalability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-load, high-performance microservices using NestJS and TypeScript.
• Architect system design, define domain models, and establish robust service-to-service communication contracts.
• Develop and manage complex integrations with external providers, payment gateways, and analytics pipelines.
• Optimize PostgreSQL and ClickHouse queries, and architect event-driven data flows utilizing Kafka or Redpanda.
• Collaborate closely with QA, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery and cross-functional alignment.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor team members, and drive critical technical and architectural decision-making.

RequirementsCore Backend & Architecture

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and strong TypeScript skills.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building scalable microservices with NestJS.
• Solid mastery of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

Databases & Event-Driven Architecture

• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, locks, execution plan analysis, and partitioning strategies.
• Proven experience building robust event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka or Redpanda.
• Deep understanding of message idempotency and the implementation of Outbox and Saga patterns.

Financial Systems

• Experience architecting and building highly secure Wallet and Ledger systems.
• Proven track record processing multi-currency transactions and implementing double-entry accounting principles.

DevOps & Engineering Practices

• Hands-on familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and building out CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in iGaming, FinTech, Payments, or Banking domains.
• Experience working with ClickHouse for high-volume analytics.
• Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) utilizing Debezium.
• Experience managing and building within Nx Monorepos.
