JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

We're building a high-scale, product-led SaaS platform in an industry that's long overdue for real innovation. The stack is modern and clean, with none of the legacy baggage that slows most engineering teams down. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our full-stack development team, own technical delivery from planning through production, and help define how we build software as we scale, including how we bring AI-assisted development into our daily workflow.

This isn't a purely administrative management role. You'll stay close enough to the code to make real architectural decisions, unblock your engineers when they're stuck, and set the technical standard for the team. You'll also take the lead on building a modern, AI-augmented development environment that makes the team faster without cutting corners on quality.

What You'll Own

Team leadership. You'll lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack engineers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure. That means running sprint planning, setting code review standards, holding regular technical 1:1s, and giving real feedback on performance and growth. You'll build a team culture where engineers care about the problem they're solving, not just the ticket in front of them. You'll also serve as the main technical liaison between the engineering team and leadership, translating business priorities into technical plans and back again.

Architecture and delivery. You'll take ownership of architectural decisions across the stack: frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure. That includes reviewing system design for scalable microservices and making sure the platform can grow without quietly accumulating technical debt. Part of the job is knowing when to move fast and ship, and when to slow down and get the foundation right, and being able to make that call under real business pressure.

AI-augmented development. You'll build and continually improve how the team uses AI in its development process, from tooling and prompting practices to AI-assisted code review and testing pipelines. That includes evaluating and rolling out AI coding tools and agents in a way that actually moves the needle on output, without compromising code quality or introducing security risk, and setting sensible guardrails for how the team uses these tools in a production codebase.

Tech Stack

Frontend: React.js and Next.js (JavaScript and TypeScript), with state and data management through Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Axios, and React Query. Styling with Tailwind CSS, SASS, and DaisyUI, using TailwindUI and Bootstrap systems.

Backend: Node.js (NestJS/Express) for scalable microservice architecture. Data modeling across SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Firebase), using TypeORM, Mongoose, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ.

Cloud and DevOps: Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub) as the cloud-native foundation. Docker for containers, Kubernetes (GKE) for orchestration. CI/CD pipelines and monitoring built to support 99.9% uptime at scale.

What We're Looking For

You have 10+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with real depth in React and Node.js. You've managed engineering teams before, not just as a senior engineer people go to for advice, but with actual people-management responsibility: 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, mentorship.

Your written and spoken English is fluent. You'll be working daily with a distributed, English-speaking leadership team, and need to be just as comfortable in a technical design discussion as you are writing documentation.

You have hands-on experience building or scaling an AI-assisted development environment. You've introduced AI coding tools or agents into a real engineering team before and can speak concretely about what worked, what didn't, and how you measured the impact.

Beyond that, you bring strong architectural judgment across microservices, SQL/NoSQL data modeling, and cloud-native scaling. You think like a product person as much as an engineer, caring about the customer problem behind the ticket rather than just the ticket itself. You'd rather ship solid code and iterate than sit in endless process for its own sake. And you have strong debugging and performance instincts across the whole application lifecycle, from how something renders in the browser to how it queries the database.

Why Join Us

You'd be joining as a core technical leader on a platform that's still young enough that your decisions will shape its architecture for years. Work is fully remote from anywhere in Vietnam, on a team that already operates remote-first. The stack is modern with no legacy systems to untangle. You'll have real autonomy over both the technical roadmap and how the team works day to day, including how AI tools get woven into the process. And as an early engineering leader here, your fingerprints will be on the architecture, the culture, and the way this company builds software going forward.
