Fullstack Developer (Backend-focused)

About the Role

We're looking for a Fullstack Developer with strong software engineering fundamentals and a product mindset.

We value developers who not only write code but also understand business requirements, ask the right questions, explain technical decisions, and build software that is clean, maintainable and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement clarification to deployment.
• Build clean, maintainable and well-structured code.
• Work closely with Product Owners and teammates to understand business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
• Debug production issues and continuously improve existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Use AI tools responsibly to improve development productivity while maintaining code quality.

Requirements

Experience

• Around 2 years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience building backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or equivalent).
• Frontend experience with React, Next.js or Vue is a plus.

Software Engineering Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID Principles, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, Design Patterns, RESTful API Design and Unit Testing.
• Able to explain how these concepts have been applied in real projects, rather than only providing theoretical definitions.

Architecture & Problem Solving

• Basic understanding of Monolith and Microservices architecture.
• Understanding of API design principles, debugging production issues, logging and troubleshooting approaches.
• Able to explain technical decisions, identify trade-offs and discuss why a particular solution was chosen.

AI-assisted Development

• Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
• Understand when AI should be used, how to review AI-generated code and how to validate code quality before submitting a Pull Request.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Queue or background job processing.
• Experience with Docker or CI/CD.
• Experience communicating directly with customers or stakeholders.
• Experience working on SaaS products.
• Basic knowledge of HLS/M3U8 or media streaming technologies.
