We are a software engineering studio helping businesses modernize their digital infrastructure through composable, AI-augmented systems — so they can compete with companies twice their size.
Since 2018, we have built composable commerce platforms, AI-powered products, and enterprise web systems for clients across the region. We are deliberately small and deliberately senior. Every engineer owns outcomes, not just tickets. Our aspiration is to be the Toyota of software development: predictable, high-quality, and obsessed with getting the fundamentals right every single time.
What this role is really about
Most of your time will be fullstack web work — Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript. Some of it will be React Native, when a project has a mobile surface. Mobile is not the majority of this seat and we will not pretend otherwise. But when it comes up, you are the person who handles it, and there is no one above you to catch a mobile-specific mistake. That is why we need someone who has genuinely shipped and operated a React Native app, not someone willing to learn one.
Your first project is a
payments platform build
with both web and mobile surfaces, working alongside a Team Lead who owns the system architecture and API contracts.
What you will do
-
Own features end to end — from understanding the client's business problem, to design, to implementation, to production, to whatever comes after production.
-
Build backend services in Node.js and TypeScript
— data models, endpoints, webhook and callback handling, and the failure paths around them. Building services, not just editing existing ones.
-
Build fullstack web features in Next.js
, from schema to screen.
-
Own React Native application work
when a project calls for it — payment flows, deep links, release and store submission, and the ugly states: backgrounding, retries, offline behaviour, duplicate submissions.
-
Integrate third-party SDKs on both server and mobile sides.
-
Contribute to architecture decisions, not just execute them.
-
Verify your own work before it ships.
Design and planning are reviewed upfront, before implementation — after that, correctness is yours. You do not hand unverified work downstream and wait for someone else to find the problem.
What we are looking for
Computer science fundamentals
-
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and their trade-offs — not memorized, internalized.
-
Comfort reasoning about system design: concurrency, consistency, latency, failure modes.
-
Strong sense for what is actually happening under the hood — databases, networks, runtimes, memory.
Backend
-
You have designed relational data models and owned API contracts, not just consumed them.
-
You reason naturally about transactions, race conditions, retries, and what happens when the same request arrives twice.
-
You have supported something in production and know what it feels like when it goes wrong at 11pm.
Mobile
-
You have shipped at least one React Native application to a real app store and supported it afterwards — and you can talk concretely about what broke once real users had it.
-
You are comfortable debugging behaviour that only reproduces on one platform, one device, or one OS version.
Experience
-
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping systems that real users and businesses depend on.
-
Hands-on experience with most of our core stack, and the ability to get productive fast in the rest:
-
Languages:
TypeScript, Python
-
Frontend:
Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS
-
Mobile:
React Native
-
Backend:
