Role Description The Hydraulic Engineer will work full time on-site at PECC2’s office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing hydraulic systems and water-related infrastructure for power generation and network projects. Daily tasks include conducting hydrological and hydraulic studies, preparing technical calculations and drawings, and supporting the development of water engineering solutions for EPC and consulting projects. The Hydraulic Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to feasibility studies and detailed designs, and assist in reviewing contractor and supplier documentation. The role also includes participating in on-site inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and providing technical support throughout project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Hydraulic Systems and Mechanical Engineering for the design and analysis of power-related infrastructure.
  • Experience in Water Engineering and Water Resource Management for planning, modeling, and optimizing water usage in energy projects.
  • Proficiency in Hydrology for conducting rainfall-runoff analysis, flood studies, and related hydrological assessments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to use engineering design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools) and interpret technical drawings and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Prior experience in power generation, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
