Responsibilities

​​​​​​Perform hands-on coding and code review as other peer developers as needed

Understand the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent with this

Develop, maintain, and enhance
Java-based backend services
using
Spring Boot
and
microservices
architecture
-
Work with
AWS cloud services
(e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, OpenSearch, ECS, SSM) to support backend applications and data processing workflows.
-
Participate in application deployment using existing CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Helm.
-
Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications running on AWS and Kubernetes environments.
-
Troubleshoot deployment and application issues with guidance from senior engineers when needed.
-
Participate in Agile/Scrum activities: daily standup, demo session, retrospective, estimate, and planning, etc
Qualifications
General requirements:
-
Intermediate English communication (able to work with international clients with support)
-
Likely having 3+ years of experience
depending on how fast of your learning and developing technical capability
-
Ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
Technical requirements:
-
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (
OOP
) principles.

Strong experience with
JAVA
web-based technologies: Spring (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Boot) and ORM (JPA, Hibernate)
-
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and
microservices
.

Hands-on experience working with
AWS cloud services.
-
Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
Nice to have:

Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.

Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and front-end frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, Angular, VueJS, KnockoutJS)

Experience using AI chat tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for research, debugging, and learning

Familiarity with at least one AI coding assistant (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)

Ability to write clear, contextual prompts to generate code snippets, unit tests, or documentation
-
Awareness of AI output limitations and responsible AI use (data privacy, handling of sensitive client data)
