Position Summary
JOB PURPOSE
Under limited/minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer II is an experienced role that is responsible for implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, tools and equipment. Supports the manufacturing of new and existing products. Identifies improved manufacturing techniques for testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning manufacturing layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety.
MAIN DUTIES

Solve technical problems in manufacturing processes

Create and maintain technical data in ERP system : code, router, BOM…

Update engineering changes in ERP and in technical documents e.g. drawing, WI, PS, ect…

Design, monitor & validate for manufacturing tools

Translate into vietnamese the manufacturing document received from foreign customers

Edit and release technical documents for new processes or new products
-
Follow-up the first build with production team, make FAIR, validation report, control plan, flow chart… to submit for approval from customer.

Key Accountabilities

Manufacturing Process Flow - Plan and design basic manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Determine equipment and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.

Process Improvement - Develop and implement process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost.

Engineering Design Support - Design tool(s) according to specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques

Regulatory Compliance – Ensure more complex processes and procedures comply with regulations. Apply frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories,

Remediation – Investigate and suggest corrective action to ensure product quality, and to resolve quality issues.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY
Manufacturing Engineer II can provide a range of technical solutions to improve the manufacture of new and existing products. Any engineering improvement request need to be reviewed and can be approved by Mfg. Engineer Supervisor if no budget required. In case of budget requirement, they need to go to Mfg. Engineer Manager to review and submit to Finance lead for approval.

Education : University degree in Engineering or equivalent

Experience : +3 to 5 years

Foreign languages: Good communication in English is a must. Knowledge of German or French is an advantage.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Proficient in Solidworks or another engineering drawing software e.g. Catia, Creo, AutoCAD…
