Middle Backend Developer (NestJS)

• About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with around 2 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our web and mobile applications.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with NestJS and modern backend development practices, understands system architecture and database design, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and development issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in effort estimation, technical planning, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

Must Have

• 2+ years of experience in Backend Development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid experience with NestJS framework.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with ORM tools such as TypeORM, Prisma, or Sequelize.
• Understanding of software design principles and backend architecture.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, RBAC, OAuth, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Redis caching and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience working with WebSocket and real-time applications.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.

Bonus Points

• Experience with React.js, Next.js, or React Native.
• Ability to develop full-stack features independently.
• Experience working on CRM, ERP, POS, LMS, E-commerce, or enterprise systems.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or reviewing code.
