The Role

We are looking for a Middle Java Backend Developer who excels not only in coding but also possesses strong system thinking and architectural capabilities. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing backend systems, collaborating closely with Product, Tech, and cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong sense of ownership who are ready to take technical leadership, ensure system reliability, and deliver a tangible impact on the user experience.

What You Will Do

System Design & Development

• Develop backend features as assigned by the PM/Tech Lead.
• Design module architectures, API contracts, and database schemas for complex features.
• Integrate third-party systems (third-party APIs, OAuth, external services).
• Participate in the entire product development lifecycle: from business requirement analysis to design, development, testing, and deployment.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization

• Take responsibility for code quality, module architecture, and system performance.
• Ensure adherence to design principles: Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Modular Monolith.
• Maintain a stable CI/CD pipeline (automated tests, quality gates).
• Monitor production environments and handle incidents as needed.
  
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate closely with Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior/mid-level engineers.
• Proactively suggest product improvements based on user experience and data insights.
  
  

Documentation & Ownership

• Create and maintain technical documentation (API docs, Architecture Decision Records).
• Report progress, risks, and results to your direct manager.
• Demonstrate end-to-end ownership over your assigned modules.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of backend development experience with Java.
• Proficiency in Java (17+), Spring Boot, OOP, and Design Patterns.
• Solid experience in API design, database schema design, and PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding and practical application of Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID principles, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, JWT/OAuth2, and Spring Security.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing unit/integration tests.
• Strong ability to collaborate with Frontend engineers and debug integration issues.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microservices architecture and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Prior experience with Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
