JOB DESCRIPTION - Asset Performance Engineer

Job Summary
Responsible for driving portfolio energy yield optimization through performance engineering data analysis, while managing asset insurance, local legal compliance and related contractual SLA and warranty requirements.
Report to : Asset Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Optimize energy yield and portfolio Performance Ratio (PR) by continuously analyzing monitoring data and PVsyst models.
· Analyze system degradation, detect technical bottlenecks, and direct targeted corrective engineering actions.
· Prepare detailed technical reports and deep-dive performance analysis for multi-site setups and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
· Ensure portfolio legal compliance, focusing strictly on local regulations and structural certifications.
· Manage asset insurance frameworks, handling claims processing and contractual SLA obligations smoothly.
· Coordinate field operations with O&M Engineers and delegate documentation control to the administrative team.
· Author asset health profiles and comprehensive production performance reports.
· Willing to handle additional tasks as requested by the Asset Management team.
Key Performance Indicators
· Maintain portfolio Performance Ratio (PR) within target benchmarks.
· Ensure quick response to technical faults to keep asset downtime low.
· Handle local compliance reviews and insurance claims in a timely manner.
Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related technical field.
· Experience: 2–5 years of experience in solar PV performance engineering or renewable asset management.
· Technical Skills: Strong mastery of Monitoring system, PVsyst simulation, and technical audit processes.
· Soft Skills: Proven capabilities in stakeholder negotiation and cross-functional team coordination.
· Flexibility: Available managing field compliance reviews and willing to travel to project sites.
