Main Role

To support the day-to-day operations on the shop floor, assist the Production Manager in production activities, and act as a backup during his absence. The role will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.


Job Description

  • Support the day-to-day production activities on the shop floor and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor/Manager in monitoring daily production performance and provide operational support as required.
  • Coordinate and implement process improvements to optimize operations, enhance production efficiency, and improve product quality.
  • Promote and implement safety improvements and 5S activities on the production line.
  • Implement and monitor technical improvement projects.
  • Analyze root causes of equipment issues, troubleshoot machinery problems, and coordinate responses to equipment-related emergencies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and propose solutions to optimize equipment investment, operating, and maintenance costs.
  • Participate in establishing and improving technical specifications and operating procedures for each production process.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in production operations and continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience working in mechanical manufacturing workshops or factories; sheet metal fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D.
  • Good command of English is preferred.
