Mechanical & Piping Engineering

Review and confirm piping designs up to Medium Projects for refinery and petrochemical process units, It includes, but is not limited to:

Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings

Plot plans
-
Piping layouts
-
Isometrics
-
Tie-in packages
-
Material Take-Offs (MTO)
-
Piping specifications
-
Coordinate piping design with process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
-
Support pipe stress analysis and review stress reports
Static Equipment Engineering
-
Review and confirm equipment designs for refinery up to Medium size project and petrochemical process units, It includes, but is not limited to:
-
Pressure vessels
-
Heat exchangers
-
Storage tanks
-
Columns and reactorsPumps and package equipment interfaces
-
Review vendor drawings and incorporate equipment requirements into detailed design.
-
Verify equipment nozzle orientation, maintenance clearances, lifting access, and operational requirements.
-
Support equipment integrity assessment and improvement projects.
Project Engineering Support
-
Participate in all project phases including:
-
FS
-
FEED
-
Detailed engineering
-
Construction
-
Commissioning
-
Start-up
-
Prepare mechanical engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
-
Support technical evaluations of contractor and vendor proposals.
-
Review 3D models using software such as PDMS, E3D, Plant 3D, or SmartPlant.
-
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Constructability, and Design Review workshops.
-
Participate in SAT (Site Acceptance Test), FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of vendor.
Reliability and Operational Support
-
Provide technical support to refinery operations and maintenance teams.
-
Investigate in piping and equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
-
Support Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments and remaining life evaluations.
-
Develop engineering solutions for plant modifications and debottlenecking projects.
Policy and procedure
-
Develop Project engineering procedures, policies and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance with related standards.
-
Reporting & Recording
-
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports to Leader for work planning, work progress and technical review.
-
Project Management
-
Participate in related projects to ensure quality, schedule and meet all Legal Requirement; NSRP Project Standard and Specification.
Other Tasks assigned by Direct Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
-
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Equipment Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
-
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering companies/ Oil and Gas Plant and work for projects about Petrochemical plants, Refineries, Oil & Gas facilities.
-
Experience with brownfield refinery modifications is highly preferred.
-
English:
-
Minimum TOEIC 600 or equivalent.
-
Knowledge:
-
Knowledge of Piping Engineering and Static Equipment Engineering.
-
Knowledge of Design Codes and Standards:
-
ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME Section VII
-
API 510, API 570, API 650, API 653, API 620, API 661, API 660
-
