Ruby on Rails Developer [Eng fluent - Hybrid]

About the Role

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our engineering team in building and maintaining scalable backend applications.

You will work on customer-facing features, backend services, data-intensive applications and integrations with external systems. The role also involves improving application performance, code quality and system reliability while working closely with Product Managers and other Engineers in a global environment.

Working Location: 11 Doan Van Bo, Xom Chieu, Ho Chi Minh

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and backend services .
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrations with external/third-party systems .
• Design and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and data processing .
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Develop automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing .
• Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate root causes, and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system improvements .
• Contribute to CI/CD, Docker-based development, and deployment workflows .
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails .
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and MySQL .
• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Code .
• Experience with API development and third-party integrations .
• Experience with automated testing and debugging complex applications.
• Understanding of web application security, authentication, and authorization .
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines .
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a global team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture .
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka .
• Basic knowledge of Next.js or frontend technologies .
• Experience working with large-scale applications or high-volume data .
