(Senior) Frontend Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

FinX aims to build a digital bank that will deliver on the promise of simplicity, technological advancement, superior customer products & services.

Job Description:

• Build custom UI components and implement business logic with React/Next.js.
• Own features end-to-end (design discussion, implementation, testing, and rollout) with a product mindset — understand the “why” behind a feature, not just the “what”.
• Drive improvements in UX, system performance, and front-end architecture (including Micro Frontend adoption where it makes sense).
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations to gather feedback and turn it into actionable improvements.
• Propose solutions that improve business and operations performance, not just ship what’s requested.
• Explore and apply AI-assisted tools (e.g. AI coding assistants, LLM-powered features) to speed up development and/or enrich the product experience.
• Mentor and support teammates to help the team deliver as a whole.

Your skill and experience:

• 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js, and a solid command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS — including deep understanding of the underlying design philosophy of these frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale web applications, with a track record of optimizing end-user experience, rendering performance, stability, scalability, and code modularity (Caching/CDN/Service Worker, code-splitting, SSR/ISR, etc.).
• Experience working with Micro Frontend architecture (e.g. Module Federation, single-spa, or similar) — able to reason about module boundaries, shared state, versioning, and independent deployability across teams.
• Product-oriented mindset: comfortable evaluating trade-offs between engineering effort and business/user value, and proactively suggesting improvements rather than only executing tickets.
• Practical experience working with AI tools in the development workflow — e.g. AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.), and/or integrating LLM/AI-powered features into products.
• Experience with API integration (REST/JSON, and ideally GraphQL or WebSocket for real-time use cases).
• Good understanding of SOLID principles and common design patterns.
• Understanding of banking and financial services regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience with design systems / component libraries used across multiple products.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring and observability tools (Lighthouse, Web Vitals, Sentry, etc.).
• Exposure to Low-Code/No-Code platform development.
