JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and thoroughly tested features across a modern full-stack environment using TypeScript/Node.js on the backend and React on the frontend.
- API-Driven Architecture: Help develop and scale a robust API-first platform that supports seamless integration of digital insurance and financial products.
- AI & Generative AI: Develop and integrate AI-powered capabilities using leading LLM technologies such as Claude and Gemini , including intelligent claims automation and AI-assisted operational tools.
- Agentic Automation: Create and optimize multi-step AI agent workflows to automate and streamline manual processes across claims management, customer support, and partner onboarding.
- Cloud & Distributed Systems: Build highly reliable and performant systems on AWS , working hands-on with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, DocumentDB, and Kafka .
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Platform Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to turn complex business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Quality, Security & Compliance: Continuously improve code quality, system performance, reliability, and security while ensuring AI and software solutions meet strict regulatory requirements, including BaFin, DORA, and EU regulations , as well as data governance and AI safety standards.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience , with a strong commitment to writing clean, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Advanced expertise in the JavaScript ecosystem , particularly TypeScript and Node.js .
- Demonstrated experience integrating LLM APIs into production environments , with a proven track record of delivering AI-powered features in real-world applications.
- Strong knowledge of system design , with practical application of SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) .
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and modern infrastructure, including PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Redis, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines .
- Strong focus on software reliability and testing , with solid experience developing unit, integration, and contract tests .
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively connect engineering teams and product/business stakeholders .
- Professional-level English proficiency for effective collaboration across international teams.
