Senior NodeJS Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core Engineering team and contribute to building next-generation trading and financial platforms. You will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance microservices, real time market data streaming systems, and robust API gateways. This role requires deep expertise in Node.JS with a strong understanding of distributed systems and added value if you have experience with Golang.

• System Design & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js (18+), TypeScript, and Express.js following Clean Architecture principles.
• Real-Time Streaming: Develop and optimize low latency market data streaming services using WebSocket, Centrifugo, and gRPC to handle thousands of concurrent connections.
• Data Management: Design efficient database schemas and complex queries for PostgreSQL. Implement caching strategies and distributed locking using Redis.
• Event-Driven System: Manage asynchronous communication and high-throughput data processing using Apache Kafka (Strimzi).
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and monitor services on Kubernetes. Manage configuration via ETCD and API routing using Kong API Gateway.
• Security: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, TOTP).
• Monitoring: Ensure system reliability by integrating logging (Loki) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Job Requirements:

• Technical skills: Core: Proficient in Node.js (18+) and TypeScript. Strong understanding of Event Loop, Async/Await, and concurrency patterns. Databases: Solid experience with PostgreSQL (Indexing, Partitioning, Transactions) and Redis (Caching, Pub/Sub).
• Communication: Experience with gRPC (Protocol Buffers), REST APIs, and WebSockets. Message Queue: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producer/Consumer, Partitioning, High Throughput). Infrastructure: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and ETCD. Security: understanding of Web Security, JWT, RBAC, and TOTP.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production. Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing business needs.
• Nice to have:

+ Golang (Go): Experience developing high performance services in Go.

+ Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in Fintech, Stock Trading, or Banking systems.

+ Strong Logic & Analytical Skills: Excellent logical thinking capability to handle complex business rules and system architecture.  

+ Fast Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.

+ CI/CD & Observability: Experience setting up pipelines with ArgoCD and configuring Prometheus/Grafana dashboards.

+ API Gateway: Configuration and plugin development for Kong API Gateway.
