Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Performance Engineer with strong expertise in API performance testing , JMeter scripting , and cloud-based applications . The ideal candidate will design, execute, and automate performance tests for REST APIs and distributed systems while identifying application, database, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Key Skills

• 6+ years of Performance Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter (mandatory); BlazeMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, or k6 is a plus.
• Expertise in REST API performance testing , authentication (OAuth/JWT/Bearer Tokens), correlation, parameterization, and dynamic scripting using Groovy/JSR223 .
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS) and microservices/serverless architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk , Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch for performance monitoring and analysis.
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Good understanding of SQL/database performance and event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

Responsibilities

• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Develop reusable JMeter scripts and automate performance test execution.
• Analyze bottlenecks across APIs, databases, and infrastructure, and provide optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to ensure application performance and reliability.
• Build performance dashboards and support production performance investigations.

Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Java/Node.js applications, and modern observability tools.
