Job Summary:


We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Golang) to build reliable control-plane and infrastructure automation software.

You will design and develop backend services, APIs, CLI tools, controllers, agents, and distributed workflows that integrate with Kubernetes and infrastructure platforms. This role combines strong software engineering with infrastructure, distributed systems, and automation.


Job Description:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate backend services, APIs, CLI tools, agents, and controllers in Go.
  • Build integrations with Kubernetes, networking, storage, identity, cloud/private-cloud, and automation platforms.
  • Develop control-plane capabilities for provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, resource lifecycle management, and infrastructure automation.
  • Design robust REST/gRPC APIs with authentication, authorization, validation, versioning, auditability, and idempotency.
  • Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using queues, streams, schedulers, and workers.
  • Design for retries, timeouts, concurrency, duplicate delivery, partial failures, eventual consistency, and safe recovery.
  • Ensure backward compatibility and safe rollout/migration of APIs, schemas, resources, and long-running workflows.
  • Improve reliability and performance through testing, profiling, observability, and production troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, security, and SRE teams on requirement analysis, system design and operational readiness.
  • Contribute to technical design, code reviews, engineering standards, and mentoring.
  • Own services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to production operation and continuous improvement.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial production experience with Go.
  • Strong Go fundamentals, including concurrency, goroutines, channels, context, synchronization, cancellation, error handling, testing, and profiling.
  • Experience designing and operating backend services, distributed systems, REST/gRPC APIs, and asynchronous architectures.
  • Strong understanding of reliability patterns such as idempotency, retries, backoff, deduplication, rate limiting, backpressure, timeouts, and failure isolation.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Redis or equivalent, and messaging/streaming systems such as NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, proxies, and service discovery.
  • Experience integrating with infrastructure platforms or APIs such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, cloud SDKs, or vendor APIs.
  • Practical Kubernetes knowledge, including workloads, services, ingress/Gateway APIs, RBAC, storage, scheduling, API resources, and controller/operator patterns.
  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts including compute, VMs, containers, networking, storage, identity, HA, and backup/restore.
  • Experience with observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, SLOs, and incident analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with private-cloud platforms such as Proxmox, VMware, or OpenStack.
  • Experience with identity, authorization, secrets, and policy systems such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SPIFFE/SPIRE, Vault, OPA, or OpenFGA.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native networking technologies such as VXLAN, WireGuard, IPsec, CNI, ingress controllers, load balancers, service mesh, or eBPF.
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Jaeger, or Tempo.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration, reconciliation loops, declarative resource models, or infrastructure state management.
