Structural Engineer

Viettel Aviation Technology Center (VATC) is the aviation research and development center of Viettel Group , dedicated to developing advanced aviation technologies and indigenous aircraft platforms. VATC focuses on the research, design, development, testing, certification, and production of manned aircraft. The center brings together multidisciplinary engineering expertise to deliver innovative, high-performance aviation solutions.

As an Aircraft Structures Engineer , you will design, analyze, and optimize aircraft structural components to ensure strength, safety, durability, and airworthiness. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will contribute to the development of next-generation aircraft from concept through testing and certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize aircraft structural components and airframe structures.
• Select appropriate structural concepts and materials for aircraft applications.
• Develop structural solutions to improve strength, durability, and fatigue life.
• Develop and conduct structural testing, analyze test results, and evaluate structural integrity.
• Support aircraft development, manufacturing, and certification activities.
• Perform other engineering tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering , or a related field.
• English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 650 or IELTS 5.5 .
• Proficiency in CAD and FEA/FEM software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft, UAV, rotorcraft, spacecraft, missile, or automotive structural design.
• Experience with vibration, fatigue, fracture mechanics, or structural simulation.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, Fortran , or similar scientific programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with structural testing and validation.
• Knowledge of aerospace design and certification standards (FAA/EASA).
• Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline is an advantage.
