Technical Engineer

We are looking for a proactive Technical Engineer to support technical services, project execution, automation systems, and industrial solutions for customers. The role works closely with Customers, Sales Teams, Suppliers, and Project Teams to ensure successful project delivery, technical support, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Service & Field Support

• Perform installation, wiring, commissioning, testing, handover, and startup activities at customer sites
• Carry out preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions  
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
• Execute warranty services and maintenance
• Conduct basic operation and technical training for customers
• Prepare service reports, maintenance reports, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and company standards

B. Project Support & Implementation

• Conduct site surveys and collect technical information from customers
• Support preparation of technical documents, drawings, and project-related documentation
• Participate in project execution according to assigned schedules
• Monitor and resolve technical issues during project implementation
• Assist with project testing, commissioning, and final acceptance
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution

C. Automation, Electrical & Instrumentation Support

• Support implementation of (PLC/ HMI/ SCADA/ DCS/ Industrial Network/ Instrumentation)
• Perform basic configuration, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment
• Read and interpret electrical, control, and electro-mechanical drawings
• Support system integration and operational activities of industrial control systems 

D. Electro-Mechanical & Equipment Support

• Support assembly, alignment, and inspection of electro-mechanical equipment
• Conduct equipment condition assessments and improvement recommendations
• Assist in resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues  
• Support equipment maintenance, upgrading, and retrofit projects  

E. Technical Sales Support

• Support Sales Team in customer visits and site surveys
• Analyze technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions
• Assist in equipment selection, system configuration, and technical proposal preparation
• Support quotation, tender, and bidding document preparation
• Participate in technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and customer meetings
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical matters

F. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operation manuals, and service reports
• Maintain project records and technical databases
• Propose improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
• Continuously update knowledge of emerging technologies, products, and market trends 

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial engineering, automation, maintenance, technical service, or project support.
• Basic knowledge of automation, electrical, instrumentation, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Instrumentation, and Industrial Networks.
• Ability to read technical drawings and English technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Able to travel and work at factories, industrial sites, and project locations when required.
• Driver's license is an advantage.
