Job Summary:

HCLTech is looking for a Test Engineer to validate connected vehicle and telematics systems, ensuring high-quality performance across vehicle, mobile app, infotainment, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bench and vehicle-level validation of Telematics Control Unit (TCU) features.
• Execute end-to-end testing of connected services, mobile applications, and infotainment systems.
• Conduct CAN simulation, CAN log analysis, and vehicle diagnostics validation.
• Validate telematics features including:

+ eCall, bCall, SOS services

+ GPS/GNSS, geofencing, route tracking

+ 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, V2X connectivity

+ Remote lock/unlock, climate control, OTA updates

+ Driver behavior monitoring and vehicle data analytics

+ Support OTA deployment activities and regional VPC teams.

+ Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with global engineering teams.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Automotive Testing, Validation, or Telematics.
• Strong knowledge of Connected Vehicle and Telematics systems.
• Hands-on experience with CAN simulation, CAN log analysis, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Good understanding of automotive communication protocols:

+ CAN, CAN FD, LIN

+ Automotive Ethernet

+ LVDS, USB

+ Experience in end-to-end validation of mobile apps, infotainment, and cloud/IoT platforms.

+ Knowledge of OTA updates, GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular technologies (4G/5G).

• Proficient in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.
• Familiarity with V2X communication and connected car ecosystems.
