Assistant Manager, IT Infrastructure

Overview

As an Assistant Manager of IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing our core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage components. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business departments to build and align infrastructure strategies with our overarching IT strategic plan.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all existing network and security devices, servers, and SAN Storage hardware, including installation, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and backups.
• Design and maintain infrastructure to ensure reliability, stability, and high availability, ensuring Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) systems align with Bank requirements.
• Implement and configure network equipment (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPS) as needed.
• Analyze user requirements and existing infrastructure to recommend upgrades and anticipate future needs.
• Conduct continuous research and proof of concept to improve the infrastructure system, utilizing monitoring tools to respond to issues immediately.
• Coordinate with the IT team to escalate or solve problems and provide technical advice, budgeting, and costing for projects.
• Handle queries and correspondence with internal/external auditors and statutory bodies.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

• Recognized Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in IT Infrastructure (server, network, storage, Operation Systems).
• Hands-on experience with Linux OS, Kubernetes/Docker, and Administrative Databases (MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with open-source software; knowledge of security devices/applications is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an aptitude towards IT infrastructure, and the ability to think out of the box during troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in the banking sector is an added advantage.
