About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Robotics & Automation to lead automation and robotics initiatives within a technology-driven engineering and operations environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities, developing and implementing robotic solutions, and driving continuous improvement through smart automation and digitalisation initiatives. You will work closely with engineering, operations, IT, vendors and other stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that improve productivity, quality, safety and operational efficiency.

Aerospace experience is not mandatory . Candidates with strong robotics and automation experience from other high-precision, manufacturing, logistics, engineering or industrial environments are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of robotics and automation projects from concept and feasibility assessment through implementation and deployment.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual or labour-intensive processes and develop suitable automation solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments for proposed automation initiatives.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical personnel, providing technical direction, coaching and support.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical automation solutions.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
• Evaluate and work with technology vendors, system integrators and external partners on automation solutions and equipment.
• Support proof-of-concept, testing, commissioning, validation and deployment of robotic and automated systems.
• Analyse operational data and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, quality and process efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation and smart automation initiatives across operations.
• Ensure automation projects comply with relevant safety requirements, technical standards and company policies.
• Provide technical recommendations and present project proposals, progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in robotics, industrial automation, controls, smart manufacturing, warehouse automation, engineering automation or related fields .
• Experience leading automation or robotics projects from feasibility/POC through implementation and commissioning.
• Strong experience in vendor management, system integration and cross-functional project coordination .
• Experience managing or leading engineers, technicians or multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good understanding of automation technologies such as PLC, robotics, motion control, machine vision, SCADA, AMR/AGV, ASRS, industrial control systems or related technologies will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in digital transformation, Industry 4.0, smart operations or process improvement will be an added advantage.
