About Valorant

Valorant is a procurement consulting and AI technology firm. We combine deep domain expertise in sourcing and procurement with Astra — our AI-native procurement platform. We work with CPOs, CFOs, and CIOs at organizations across industries to drive measurable efficiency, cost savings, and procurement transformation. Our team operates at the intersection of strategy consulting and product building, and every member contributes to both.

Role Description

As a Senior Manager, you will own client engagements end-to-end — from deal shaping through implementation, stabilization, and account growth — while contributing to Astra’s product strategy through your domain expertise. You bring the procurement depth to hold peer-level conversations with CPOs, the delivery experience to run complex programs, and the product instinct that comes from having built or co-built digital procurement tools.

This role demands high agency. You will make judgment calls on ambiguous problems, set direction without waiting for escalation, and take ownership of outcomes across consulting delivery, product development, and business growth.

Product & Platform Strategy (Astra)

  • Contribute to product strategy for Astra capability areas — inform build/defer trade-off decisions and shape domain direction in collaboration with Engineering and Product leadership
  • Translate procurement expertise and client patterns into platform architecture inputs — not just feature requests, but structural perspectives on how Astra should model procurement work
  • Support Astra’s go-to-market: lead product demos for strategic prospects, present at industry forums, and bring procurement credibility to positioning conversations
  • Identify whitespace opportunities from client engagements and industry trends, and prototype solution concepts using AI tools and no-code platforms

Implementation Leadership

  • Own client implementations end-to-end — scoping, staffing, delivery sequencing, client governance, escalation management, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Contribute to the evolution of Valorant’s implementation methodology and delivery playbooks
  • Lead multi-workstream procurement transformation programs: operating model redesign, process re-engineering, policy overhaul, technology deployment, and organizational change management
  • Build change management frameworks, executive alignment strategies, and measurement systems that ensure transformation outcomes persist beyond the engagement
  • Manage engagement economics: margin delivery, scope control, resource planning, and commercial conversations on change orders and expansions

Procurement Domain Expertise

  • Serve as a procurement SME — lead category strategy across industries, advise on operating model design, and provide executive-level counsel on sourcing and procurement effectiveness
  • Contribute to Valorant’s intellectual capital: develop frameworks, methodologies, and thought leadership (white papers, case studies, industry perspectives)
  • Mentor the consulting team on procurement domain depth — run knowledge-sharing sessions and review deliverables for domain rigor

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Drive pipeline: identify opportunities, lead proposal development, run prospect discovery workshops, and support deal closure
  • Expand existing client relationships — identify follow-on opportunities, propose new workstreams, and grow account revenue
  • Contribute to Astra’s commercial positioning through sales collateral, ROI frameworks, and competitive differentiation narratives

Team & Practice Building

  • Lead and develop a team of Managers and Senior Consultants — set performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career growth
  • Contribute to Valorant’s consulting practice standards: delivery quality, training, and knowledge management
  • Operate with high agency — make decisions in ambiguous situations, set direction for your teams, and drive outcomes independently

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement consulting, with a track record of leading end-to-end client engagements and managing delivery teams
  • Deep procurement domain expertise — ability to advise at the CPO/VP level across sourcing strategy, category management, S2C/P2P process design, and procurement transformation
  • Direct experience building or co-building digital procurement tools, automation workflows, or technology-enabled procurement solutions — not just implementing vendor platforms, but actively contributing to product or tool design
  • Proven ability to prototype and iterate on solution concepts using AI tools, no-code platforms, or lightweight technical approaches
  • Commercial acumen: experience shaping proposals and managing engagement economics
  • Strong leadership and people development skills — ability to build and grow high-performing consulting teams
  • Executive-grade communication — comfortable presenting to and advising C-suite stakeholders
  • High agency mindset: operates with minimal direction, makes sound judgment calls under ambiguity, and takes ownership of outcomes
  • Experience with procurement technology platforms (Coupa, Jaggaer, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, or similar) in implementation or advisory capacity
  • Willingness to work across global time zones and travel to client locations as needed
