Role Description The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at Techtronic Industries Vietnam will be responsible for managing and improving the quality performance of suppliers supporting manufacturing operations in Ho Chi Minh City. This full-time, on-site role includes conducting supplier audits, qualifying new suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements. The SQE will analyze supplier data, lead problem-solving and root-cause analysis, and collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, and purchasing teams to address nonconformities and drive corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves developing and maintaining quality documentation, supporting new product introductions, and promoting continuous improvement in supplier processes to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in supplier quality engineering, including supplier audits, qualification, and performance management.
  • Experience with quality systems and tools such as ISO standards, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, control plans, and root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D, fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Technical expertise in manufacturing and engineering processes relevant to power tools or similar industries (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering).
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of quality-related software and measurement tools.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment and familiarity with ESG and corporate compliance standards is an advantage.
  • Professional proficiency in English; Vietnamese language skills are beneficial for supplier and local team interactions.
