Technical Team Leader (Shopify & E-commerce)

We're looking for a Technical Team Leader who thrives at the intersection of code and people. You'll guide a team of developers building sophisticated Shopify solutions while staying hands-on enough to earn their respect and remove technical blockers.

This role demands both technical depth and leadership presence. You'll architect solutions, mentor engineers, and ensure your team delivers quality code on time. If you've grown from senior developer to team lead and know how to balance technical excellence with team growth, this could be your next challenge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers working on Shopify-based e-commerce projects
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and code reviews
• Remove technical blockers and guide the team through complex implementation challenges
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align on priorities and timelines
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, quality, and accountability
• Balance hands-on development with team leadership responsibilities

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical leadership or senior development experience
• Strong Shopify knowledge — building custom themes, apps, or integrations
• Proven e-commerce expertise (retail, consumer goods, or related industries)
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) — you can explain technical decisions to both developers and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Shopify Plus, Liquid, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue)
• Agile/Scrum experience in distributed team environments
