SITE SUPERVISOR and Project manangement

Role Objective

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision, coordination and execution of construction and renovation works on site, ensuring that works are completed safely, correctly, according to drawings and within the agreed timeline.

A. Daily Site Management

• Be responsible for daily site operations.
• Open, inspect and prepare the site before works commence.
• Coordinate daily activities of workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure workers understand the required scope of work.
• Monitor manpower and productivity.
• Maintain proper site organisation and housekeeping.
• Ensure construction materials are properly stored and protected.

B. Construction Supervision

• Supervise all construction and renovation works on site.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Check measurements, levels, alignment and installation quality.
• Monitor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, flooring, ceiling and other trades.
• Ensure works are executed in the correct sequence.
• Identify workmanship issues immediately and arrange rectification.
• Prevent unauthorised changes to the approved design.

C. Subcontractor Coordination

• Coordinate daily activities between different subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractors arrive according to the agreed schedule.
• Check subcontractor work before allowing subsequent trades to proceed.
• Coordinate access and working areas between different trades.
• Report poor workmanship, manpower shortages or delays to the Project Manager.
• Ensure subcontractors complete assigned works according to schedule.

D. Material & Delivery Management

• Check delivered materials against purchase orders and specifications.
• Inspect materials for damage or incorrect items.
• Coordinate delivery and unloading.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately.
• Inform the Project Manager immediately of missing, damaged or incorrect materials.
• Monitor material usage to minimise wastage.

E. Quality Control

• Conduct daily quality checks.
• Ensure workmanship meets company standards and approved drawings.
• Identify defects during construction rather than only at completion.
• Record defects and coordinate rectification.
• Take progress and defect photographs for project records.
• Ensure completed works are protected from damage by subsequent trades.

F. Site Measurements & Setting Out

• Verify site measurements before fabrication or installation.
• Check dimensions against approved drawings.
• Confirm actual site conditions before works commence.
• Report discrepancies between drawings and site conditions to the Project Manager.
• Assist designers and contractors with site measurements where required.

G. Site Safety

• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Ensure workers follow applicable site safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe working conditions and take immediate corrective action.
• Ensure appropriate protective equipment and safe working practices are used.
• Report accidents, incidents or safety concerns immediately to management.

H. Progress Monitoring

• Track daily site progress.
• Compare actual progress against the project schedule.
• Highlight delays or potential delays immediately.
• Monitor manpower and productivity.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager on recovery actions.
• Ensure priority works are completed according to the project programme.

I. Client & Site Communication

• Assist the Project Manager during client site meetings.
• Answer basic site-related questions where authorised.
• Do not commit to changes, additional works or pricing without Project Manager approval.
• Immediately report client requests or instructions to the Project Manager.
• Ensure verbal instructions affecting cost, design or timeline are documented.

J. Site Completion & Handover

• Conduct internal site inspections before client inspection.
• Prepare and rectify defects.
• Ensure all construction debris and materials are removed.
• Coordinate final cleaning and site preparation.
• Assist the Project Manager with final handover.
• Ensure tools, temporary works and unused materials are removed from site

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
