Project Manager (Data Governance & Regulatory Transformation)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic Data Governance and Regulatory Transformation initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services sector.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery, from project mobilization and stakeholder alignment through implementation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and data governance requirements while delivering business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of Data Governance and Regulatory Transformation projects.
• Drive project mobilization, scope definition, requirements gathering and project planning.
• Engage and manage stakeholders across Business, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data and Technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops and business discussions to gather, validate and document business requirements.
• Produce and maintain project documentation, delivery plans, risk registers and governance artefacts.
• Translate regulatory and legal requirements into practical operational processes and project deliverables.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership while remaining hands-on with project execution and business analysis activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of Project Management experience, preferably within Banking or Financial Services.
• Proven experience delivering Data Governance , Data Sovereignty , Data Risk Assessment (DRA) or Regulatory Transformation programmes.
• Strong experience leading project mobilization, scope definition and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience in business analysis, workshop facilitation and requirements documentation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and data governance frameworks.
• Experience translating legal or regulatory requirements into operational processes.
• Familiarity with cross-border data transfer governance and data sovereignty controls is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management certification will be an advantage.
