Solution Architect/ Tech Lead (Java, NodeJS) - Fintech - Up to $4000

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and review architecture for microservices-based applications.
• Define technical solutions based on business requirements and existing system landscape.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of the overall platform.
• Lead technical discussions and support teams in resolving design or implementation issues.
• Review source code, technical designs, and development standards.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and client stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple development teams to ensure consistency in architecture and implementation approaches.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities such as estimation, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Support CI/CD adoption, API governance, and release management processes.
• Mentor team members and help grow technical capabilities within the team.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Java (11 or above) or NodeJs
• Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and system integration.
• Familiar with OAuth2, OIDC, and API security concepts.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MariaDB, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Understanding of data modelling and migration from legacy systems is a plus.

Architecture & Design

• Hands-on experience with:
• Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• CQRS
• Event-Driven Architecture
• Event Sourcing
• Experience designing and governing large-scale enterprise applications.

Leadership & Communication

• Experience leading backend development teams or acting as a Technical Lead/Solution Architect.
• Ability to work directly with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good communication and coordination skills in a multi-team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Banking or Financial Services projects.
• Lending, Payments, or Digital Banking systems.
• Large-scale modernization or transformation programs.
• Multi-vendor project environments.
• Cloud-native and containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

Ideal Candidate

• Senior Java/NodeJs Technical Lead looking to move into an Architect role, or
• Solution Architect who still enjoys being hands-on with technical design and delivery.
• Strong background in microservices architecture.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams and client stakeholders.
• Able to balance architecture, delivery, and team leadership.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience or NodeJs and atrong typescripts.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture.
• Technical leadership capability.
• Good stakeholder communication skills.
• Banking domain experience is highly preferred.
