Funky Food is an Australian subscription box business on a mission to rescue imperfect and surplus produce, delivering it fresh to homes across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Canberra. We’re a fast-moving team that cares about food waste, good food, and doing marketing that actually works.

The Role

We’re looking for an organised, proactive Marketing VA to support our Marketing Director across day-to-day marketing operations. You’ll be the right hand keeping campaigns, content, and admin running smoothly, freeing up strategic time for growth work.

What You’ll Do

- Schedule and publish social media content across platforms

- Support email marketing execution in Klaviyo (building campaigns, QA, basic segmentation)

- Assist with Meta and Google Ads admin: uploading creative, checking campaign status, pulling performance data

- Maintain and update the content calendar

- Basic design work in Canva (social tiles, email banners) using brand templates

- Community management: monitoring and responding to comments/DMs

- Competitor and trend research

- General marketing admin: organising assets, updating trackers, file management

- Support ad hoc projects as they come up

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience as a marketing VA or in a similar support role

- Comfortable in Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Canva (or quick to learn)

- Basic video editing

- Excellent written English and attention to detail

- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple small tasks at once

- Available during Australian business hours (or significant overlap)

- E-commerce or subscription business experience a plus
