ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Marketing Automation Specialist will support the planning, setup and ongoing improvement of automated marketing activities.
You will work with customer data, audience segments, campaign workflows and marketing platforms to help deliver timely and relevant communications. The role also involves monitoring campaign performance and making practical adjustments based on results.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIESCampaign automation
- Build and maintain automated email and customer communication workflows.
- Configure campaign triggers, audience rules, scheduling and workflow conditions.
- Support lead nurturing, follow-up and re-engagement campaigns.
- Test workflows and campaign logic before activation.
- Monitor live automations and resolve or escalate issues when required.
Audience & data management
- Maintain customer and prospect data within CRM and marketing platforms.
- Create and update audience segments based on agreed criteria.
- Support lead categorisation, lifecycle stages and campaign eligibility rules.
- Carry out routine data checks and highlight inconsistencies.
- Assist with database maintenance and data-cleaning activities.
Campaign operations
- Coordinate campaign requirements with marketing and other internal teams.
- Prepare email content, campaign assets and audience lists for deployment.
- Manage campaign schedules and ensure activities are launched according to agreed timelines.
- Keep records of campaign settings, changes and approvals.
Measurement
- Monitor campaign engagement and conversion performance.
- Review metrics such as open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate and unsubscribe rate.
- Prepare recurring campaign reports and performance summaries.
- Identify unusual results or underperforming workflows for further review.
Optimisation
- Support A/B testing of subject lines, content, timing and audience segments.
- Review campaign results and recommend improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and communication frequency.
- Keep up with relevant developments in marketing automation and lifecycle marketing.
TOOLS & CAPABILITIES
You should be comfortable working with:
- CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Email campaign tools
- Customer databases and audience segmentation
- Spreadsheet-based reporting
- Campaign dashboards and analytics tools
Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar systems will be an advantage.
Basic familiarity with Google Analytics / GA4, conversion tracking or HTML email formatting is also useful.
EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Around 1–3 years of experience in marketing automation, CRM, lifecycle marketing, email marketing or marketing operations.
- Understanding of customer segmentation and automated campaign workflows.
- Comfortable working with campaign data and performance reports.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with customer data and automation rules.
- Able to manage multiple campaign requirements and deadlines.
- Comfortable learning new systems and marketing technologies.

HOW THE ROLE OPERATES
This is a hands-on position.
You may be setting up a new workflow, checking an audience list, reviewing campaign results or making changes to an existing automation on the same day.
Accuracy matters because small configuration errors can affect the audience receiving a campaign or the timing of a customer journey. At the same time, you should be comfortable looking at results and asking what can be improved.
Pay: $3,300.00 - $4,100.00 per month
