Global Sports Travel is a premium sports travel and hospitality company headquartered in Australia, with operations in India.
We provide official ticketing, hospitality, accommodation and travel packages for major global sporting events across cricket, football, tennis, motorsport, rugby and the Olympic Games.
Our clients include HNI and UHNI travellers, corporate groups, families, sports enthusiasts and international guests seeking premium, professionally managed sporting experiences.
We are seeking an experienced and highly accountable sales professional to manage and grow our sales and partnerships function in India.
This is a hands-on, revenue-focused role for someone who can personally manage enquiries, build relationships, close high-value bookings and maintain complete control of their sales pipeline.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Founder and work closely with our Brisbane head office, Mumbai operations team, global suppliers and official hospitality partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Revenue

Develop and execute sales strategies for premium sports ticketing, hospitality and travel packages.

Personally manage the complete sales process from initial enquiry through to payment and booking confirmation.

Qualify leads, understand client requirements, prepare proposals, follow up consistently, negotiate and close bookings.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of HNI, UHNI, corporate, group and international clients.

Identify opportunities for corporate incentive travel, private groups, VIP hospitality and bespoke sporting experiences.

Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly revenue, conversion and margin targets.

Generate new business through referrals, networking, outbound prospecting, partnerships and industry contacts.

Increase repeat business and referrals from existing clients.

Follow approved pricing, discount and inventory procedures without making unauthorised commitments.
CRM and Sales Discipline

Record every lead, communication, proposal, follow-up and sales outcome accurately in Zoho CRM.

Ensure no client enquiry or transaction is managed outside approved company systems and communication channels.

Maintain clear next actions and follow-up dates for every active opportunity.

Respond promptly to new enquiries and ensure leads are followed up until they are either converted or formally closed.

Provide daily sales activity updates, weekly pipeline reports and monthly revenue forecasts.

Maintain accurate information regarding expected revenue, probability of conversion, payment status and booking requirements.

Take personal ownership of assigned leads and ensure no genuine sales opportunity is overlooked.
Client Experience

Provide a premium and professional client experience from the first enquiry through to post-event engagement.

Understand individual client preferences and recommend suitable ticketing, hospitality, hotel and travel options.

Manage VIP requirements, special requests, group bookings and client escalations.

Communicate clearly and professionally through telephone, email and WhatsApp.

Maintain detailed client profiles and preferences in the CRM to support personalised future engagement.

Conduct structured post-event follow-up to generate repeat bookings, referrals and client feedback.
Partnerships and Business Development

Develop relationships with corporate organisations, wealth managers, family offices, private banks, concierge companies and travel partners.

Identify and evaluate potential hospitality suppliers, destination management companies and international delivery partners.

Strengthen relationships with approved suppliers, rights holders and official hospitality partners.

Support negotiations relating to allocations, commissions and commercial terms.

Identify new sporting events, destinations and market segments that could generate profitable business.

Represent Global Sports Travel professionally at supplier meetings, trade events and sporting events when required.
Booking and Operational Coordination

Coordinate with the operations team after a sale to ensure accurate invoicing, payment tracking, supplier bookings and documentation.

Confirm that payments and required documentation have been received before services are committed.

Ensure client requirements are clearly transferred to the operations and fulfilment teams.

Monitor booking progress and remain involved until the client’s complete package has been delivered.

Work closely with the Brisbane head office regarding inventory, pricing, availability and client commitments.

Track sales, revenue and performance for each event and product.
Team Contribution

Work closely with the Mumbai sales and operations team to achieve shared targets.

Support and mentor junior team members in client communication, product knowledge and consultative selling.

Help establish high standards for responsiveness, CRM usage, commercial discipline and professional communication.

Contribute to future recruitment and sales team planning as the business grows.
Required Experience and Skills
-
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sports hospitality, premium travel, MICE, luxury services or high-value B2C or B2B sales.

Demonstrated history of personally achieving sales targets and closing high-value transactions.

Strong consultative selling, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Ability to manage a large number of active enquiries without losing follow-ups or sales opportunities.

Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of revenue, margins, conversion rates and client lifetime value.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Professional telephone, email and WhatsApp communication skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate CRM records.

Self-motivated, responsive and capable of working independently with direct accountability to the Founder.

Comfortable coordinating with teams and suppliers across international time zones.

Willingness to travel internationally when required for major events or supplier engagement.
Preferred Experience
-
Previous experience selling packages for events such as ICC tournaments, the Ashes, Wimbledon, Formula 1, FIFA World Cup, rugby tournaments or the Olympic Games.

Experience working with official hospitality programmes, sports rights holders or authorised travel agents.

Existing relationships with HNI, UHNI, corporate or premium travel clients.

Experience using Zoho CRM or a comparable CRM platform.

Understanding of corporate incentive travel and the Indian premium travel market.

Experience managing group travel, hospitality allocations or international event delivery.

A qualification in sales, travel, hospitality, business or sports management.
